Vintage 1990s Native Zuni Carved Fetish - Jet Panther w/ Gift by Herbert Halate

Why I'm selling this: My mother no longer wants these, and while I do like this piece, I do not collect Native American art and would rather pass this along to a collector.
Description: This is a Native American Zuni Pueblo fetish carving, purchased by my mother on or near the Zuni reservation in New Mexico.  This fetish depicts a cougar/mountain lion/panther, not a bear as I had supposed at first.  It is smooth and highly abstract.  It is made of jet with two turquoise dots for eyes.  Strapped to its side with gutcord is a "gift", a large turquoise arrowhead.  There is some kind of maker's mark or artist's initials carved into the underside of the rear feet that resembles an H with one leg too many; I have been told by an informed collector that this is the mark of Herbert Halate.  This same collector mentioned that mountain lions are usually the guardian animal of the North, one of the six sacred directions in the Zuni religion (North, South, East, West, Above, Below).
