Fitz Kiyite Antler Stegosaurus Dinosaur Zuni Fetish
This wonderful little dinosaur fetish was carved by Zuni Native American carver Fitz Kiyite. Carved from the base or corona of a deer antler, it incorporates the bony growths around the base as the plates of a stegosaurus dinosaur fetish. Fitz cut the round base in half, and the rounded half suits the shape of the dinosaur well. Incised crosshatching gives his skin a scaly pebbled look. An imaginative fetish, it is beautifully carved, and Fitz has finished it with inlaid turquoise eyes. A wonderful gift or a great addition to any collection!
